PEZENAS  -   Just a few minutes away from La Bergerie de Laval, this vibrant town with its rich historic past has many excellent restaurants, an historic quarter to explore, a lively, colourful market every Saturday and the Estival with wine tasting, food and music on Friday evenings during July and August.

BEZIERS  -  Birthplace of Pierre-Paul Riquet, creator of the Canal du Midi, the towpath of which provides a charming opportunity to take a leisurely walk or cycle ride.   Its Feria in August lasting for four days includes open-air concerts as well as bull-fighting.

BOUZIGUES  -  look out over the bay towards Sete across the oyster beds whilst enjoying a leisurely lunch enjoying the freshest locally caught seafood.

NARBONNE  -  founded by the Romans, a visit to this town would not be complete without going to the famous indoor market, Les Halles where you will be tempted by the wonderful variety of fresh fish, meat and seasonal produce on offer.

 

MARSEILLAN  -  visit the Sunday morning brocante and pick up some interesting little treasure and then have lunch in the picturesque port, which has a number of lovely restaurants offering the freshest seafood and excellent local wines.
